CTS was retained by Metro Loft Developers to complete a first class restoration for the adaptive reuse of a former factory building into 53 condo units. The project included the recording of historic windows for replication, recording of historic fire shutters for replication, restoration of historic iron gates, replication of removed iron cornices, and a full masonry façade restoration. CTS Group worked closely with the owner and restoration contractor, (Preserv, Inc.) throughout design and construction to assure the high restoration standards set by the Owner were met.
Maple Avenue School, Newark, NJ, Pre-K Study
This study involved the rehabilitation and adaptive re-use of an existing school building for the use as a pre-school. The school was in use during the 2013-2014 school year and the CTS Group was asked to investigate the modifications necessary to accommodate preschool classrooms.
