93 READE STREET, NEW YORK, NY

HONOR AWARD HISTORIC FACADE RESTORATION

Constructed in 1857 the cast iron façade of 93 Reade Street is one of the oldest cast iron buildings in New York City.  CTS was retained by Knightsbridge Properties Corp. to restore the historic dilapidated cast iron façade.  The restoration included repair of remaining glass eye treads, re-creation / repair of the severely deteriorated 1st Floor cornice and baluster, and repair of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th floor cornices. 


This project won a Merit Award from the New Jersey AIA in 2016 in the field of historic restoration.
