
David V. Abramson, AIA

David’s work, for over 40 years, has included low and moderate income housing, urban revitalization, and a specialty in adaptive reuse, preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration. An integral component of much of the firm’s work is the evaluation of building fabric. These analyses are for the firm’s own design work as well as for its role as consultant to owners and other architects. Mr. Abramson’s clients include a wide variety of private developers and non-profit, community-based organizations as well as the state and local governments.
Mr. Abramson serves as a gubernatorial appointee to the New Jersey Historic Sites Review Committee and a former mayoral appointee to Newark’s Historic Preservation Commission. He has held a number of academic positions including as adjunct lecturer at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, School of Architecture (NJIT SOA), Newark, NJ teaching design and construction technology.
David is a former owner of a development/construction company which provided him with hands-on experience in the creation of hundreds of units of new and rehabilitated housing.
He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana, IL and a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia University, New York, NY
