Bill has over 40 years of experience as a practicing architect and professional planner. He became a co-owner of the firm in 2005, after joining the firm in 2002. His primary focus is client development and fostering a design philosophy that is sensitive to the client’s needs and aspirations. This can be seen in many of the firms religious, educational, historic, and adaptive reuse projects. He continues to act as Principal-in-Charge for the firm’s educational, historic preservation, religious, commercial, and federal projects. Bill is the firm’s leading advocate in energy efficient design.
Mr. Slack has many award-winning projects to his credit including AIA Design Awards for his innovative design work on the Newark Vocational High School Culinary Arts and Hospitality Academies in Newark, NJ, the Aaronson Student Center at Baruch College in New York City and the Weequahic High School Gymnasium in Newark, NJ.
Bill is a Professional Planner and a LEED Accredited Professional for Sustainable Design. He is a 35-year member of the American Institute of Architects. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. After working for several firms in Boston, MA he returned to New Jersey.
Bill is an avid bicyclist and enjoys the outdoors. When he is not bicycling, he is driving his vintage corvette through the hills of Hunterdon County or paddle boarding on one its many lakes.
